TOWN 'N COUNTRY - Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Phillip Buchanon didn't limit his "A Day At The Movies" event to only free popcorn and a film for children.
He also provided them with some words of inspiration.
"I was just like you all, I had dreams," Buchanon said. "You can do it. It's up to you."
Buchanon sprinkled these words of encouragement as he signed autographs Dec. 2 for kids from the Tampa Bay Pop Warner Football League.
This is the first time Buchanon hosted the event. Children from various youth Football teams in the county got to watch "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa" in the Imax theater at AMC Veterans Expressway 24.
"I just want to shake his [Buchanon's] hand and take pictures," said Austin Farluy, 13, of the Carrollwood Hurricanes youth Football team.
