Barnes, a 57-game starter at left and right tackle the past four seasons in Jacksonville, visited Monday with Buccaneers officials, a source told FOXSports.com.
Barnes was being heavily courted by Oakland.
Barnes, a second-round pick out of Washington in 2005, started all 16 games in 2008 for a Jacksonville team that averaged over 110 rushing yards per game.
