The Bucs plan to work out several fullbacks during the bye week. B.J. Askew has missed six games with a hamstring strain. If he can't return soon, he likely will be placed on injured reserve. The Bucs don't want Earnest Graham moonlighting as a fullback in the final seven games.
PLAYER NOTES
--RB Cadillac Williams has performed well in practice and during contact drills. But the Bucs still haven't decided whether to activate him next week or place him on injured reserve.
--WR Joey Galloway, who has played sparingly the past two weeks, says he hopes to have a larger role in the offense the final seven games of the season.
--DE Gaines Adams leads the Bucs with only four sacks through nine games this season.
--S Jermaine Phillips has a broken left forearm and could miss at least another 3-4 weeks. The Bucs are hoping he can return sometime in December.
--S Sabby Piscitelli and Will Allen will split time at SS in the absence of Jermaine Phillips, who is out with a broken left forearm.
INJURY IMPACT: The Bucs are hoping to get several players back following the bye week. RB Warrick Dunn has a pinched nerve in his back. He will likely be questionable against the Minnesota Vikings. RB Earnest Graham (knee), guard Arron Sears (concussion) and FB B.J. Askew (hamstring) are all hoping to return to health following the bye week.
