PLAYER NOTES

--DT Chris Hovan has a knee injury he suffered Monday night against the Panthers. He will be questionable Sunday at Atlanta.

--DT Jovan Haye did not make the trip to Carolina on Monday because of a knee injury. He will be questionable for Sunday's game at Atlanta.

--G Jeremy Zuttah suffered an ankle injury at Carolina on Monday night. He will be questionable for Sunday's game at Atlanta.

--QB Brian Griese was the inactive third quarterback at Carolina on Monday, an indication that his tendinitis is improving.

--WR Antonio Bryant needs 64 yards to eclipse 1,000 yards receiving for the second time in his career.

REPORT CARD VS. PANTHERS

PASSING OFFENSE: B -- WR Antonio Bryant had a career day with nine catches for 200 yards and two touchdowns. QB Jeff Garcia was victimized by numerous drops. The offensive line struggled protecting Garcia, who was sacked five times.

RUSHING OFFENSE: C -- The Bucs weren't committed to the run. Warrick Dunn led the team with 10 carries for 49 yards. FB B.J. Askew was a force in short-yardage situations. Cadillac Williams had his second TD in as many games. But the Bucs still failed to punch it in from the 2-yard line.

PASS DEFENSE: C -- If not for Jake Delhomme throwing two INTs, this could've been much worse. The Bucs didn't bring enough pressure. Steve Smith went over 100 yards receiving with a TD.

RUSH DEFENSE: F -- The Bucs had allowed just one player to rush for 100 yards and had yielded just one rushing TD in 12 games. DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart each went over 100 yards Monday night and combined for four TDs. The tackling was terrible, and gap control was worse.

SPECIAL TEAMS: D -- Normally reliable PK Matt Bryant had a 40-yard field goal hit the right upright, and he had a PAT blocked by Julius Peppers. RB Clifton Smith was contained as a kick returner.

COACHING: F -- The Bucs had not been 9-3 since 2002. They had the division lead and possibly a first-round bye at stake, and they laid an egg. Now they have to fight to make the playoffs, and they are a poor road team at 3-4.
