BATTLE OF THE WEEK: QB Brian Griese vs. QB Luke McCown. With Jeff Garcia missing the first weekend of training camp with an excused absence, Griese and McCown took most of the reps with the first team. Griese has been the most accurate, but McCown has shown a penchant for hitting the long throw downfield.
OTHER BATTLE FRONTS: WR Michael Clayton and WR Maurice Stovall are battling for the No. 2 spot behind Joey Galloway. "They're looking good," coach Jon Gruden said. ""We want to try to keep them healthy and keep them rolling because they're two young talented guys that are very physical."
PLAYER OF THE WEEK: RB Warrick Dunn -- The 33-year-old Dunn showed the same cutting and explosive speed he was known for when he played his first five seasons in Tampa Bay. He's lined up in multiple running back sets and has had a nice first weekend. "We think Warrick Dunn is one heck of a football player," Jon Gruden said.
ROOKIE REPORT: WR Dexter Jackson has looked fairly sharp at WR. The second-round pick from Appalachian State figures to be the Bucs PR. ... CB Elbert Mack was forced to give up No. 4 for No. 43, a legal number for defensive backs. "Everybody talks about (Brett) Favre, but I'm just glad to have a legitimate number." ... S Sergey Ivanov arrived in training camp Saturday night from Moscow after a delay because of visa problems.
INJURY REPORT: CB Torrie Cox injured his knee in practice Saturday afternoon. The Bucs are concerned it might be serious. Cox played in just four games last season before being placed on injured reserve with a knee injury.
WR Antonio Bryant left practice early Sunday after experiencing cramps from dehydration.
S Tanard Jackson left practice early Sunday after experiencing cramps from dehydration.
WR Joey Galloway has not practiced due to a groin strain.
